More Patterns

When I look at the images that I'm taking - more and more of them are trying to capture something slightly artistic rather than a record of a good technique. For example, many of the images in here are in close and focus on reflections or patterns between people whereas the Taekwon-Do enthusiast may be more interested in an image that shows the whole person doing an interesting technique well. I hope this "progression" doesn't end up watering down the impact of my images. Once I get to the world champs I'm sure I'll return to a more photo-journalistic reportage approach. Maybe it's just that I'm getting a bit bored and as a result have to push some new boundaries and experiment.

Alica Parker and Kristy Leong form a nice pattern together.

And again...

Below are two interesting images showing Alex Couling helping Phillipa Henry. I took an image with Phillipa's foot aligned with her head while Thu took a picture at the same time from about a 30 degree angle.

Jeremy Hanna mid-movement. Those arms are moving very fast to be blurred at 1/250th of a second!
