Luke Thompson was practicing his pre-arranged sparring routine without his partner Mark Trotter who was in Australia for work. It was interesting to watch. He was working hard and it was hot as you can see from the next image.

If you're wondering how the exposure was metered with such a bright backlight, I'd set the camera on manual mode so that I could shoot in any direction and get an ok exposure. Some images during the session that were taken near the windows are blown out (over exposed) but I like that effect anyway.Next, change of focus to his hand:
